WHAT IS GREEN COMPUTING?

Green computing is the environmentally responsible use of computers and related resources, such practices include the implementation of energy, efficient central processing unit (CPUs), serves and peripheral as well as reduced resource consumption and proper disposal of electronic waste.

HOW IS GREEN COMPUTING IS APPLY IN OUR LIFE?

  • Set your computer to hibernate during extended periods of inactivity (hibernate uses less power than sleep mode.
  • Unplug devices overnight.
  •  Try to do computer - related tasks during intensive blocks of time, learning hardware at other time.
  • Power - up and power - down energy intensive peripheral such printers/scanners according to needs.
  • Use notebook computers whenever possible.
  • Don't use Screen Savers.
  • Use the power - management features to turn off hard drives and displays after several minutes of in activity.
  • Set Print Setting - Print Double Side and only when you have to.
